My friend Jess and I decided to stamp in the new year last night. We live far apart so we picked a time to meet online and then stamped and chatted. Kristina Werner’s Color Challenge for this week was one of our inspirations.
I’m typically a card maker, but this Saturday I’m taking my friend’s daughters to go see Disney on Ice. Since there is so much pink in this challenge, I thought it would make a great scrapbook page for our girls outing!
Using Flight of the Butterfly was a natural fit for such a girly page. I love how the small butter fly and flower make such a great background! I used the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to create the larger butterflies, then covered them in Crystal Effects and sprinkled them with Dazzling Diamonds.
I had a limited supply of chipboard letters, so I used one style for Disney and another for On Ice. Having the Big Shot would have been great because I could have cut all the letters I needed in the same font. I’m considering getting the Big Shot in 2009. I’ve seen so many fantastic projects that use it, I’m not sure I can resist much longer!
