Mirror, mirror

Princess Mirror

My friend’s daughter had her 6th birthday on Saturday, and I made her this fabulous princess mirror as part of her present. I’m not sure she was that excited about it, but her mom and aunt were both ready to steal it from her, and her younger sister spent hours yesterday “cleaning” it with a Barbie tattoo applicator “gun”.

The crown is one of the new Decor Elements that were released a couple weeks ago.  I love using Decor Elements. I’ve used them to decorate my Inspiration Board (which you can see in the mirror) and make a Welcome sign for my foyer. They are a great way to add stylish accents to your home. So far I’ve only used them on movable pieces, but they work great on walls too. I haven’t made that leap yet, but I have my eye on Tree, Thoughts and Prayers for my bedroom.

Back to the mirror! I purchased the mirror from Target, and I embellished it with some non-SU! rhinestones. To see how I applied the image, check out the video below for SU!’s demonstration of how to apply Decor Elements. The only thing I’d add, is that when applying to glass, the image sticks pretty quickly (unlike in the video where she can remove the image if it isn’t positioned right).
