True Friend

Here is today’s digital Clean and Simple card:

The base is Crumb Cake, the butterfly is Elegant Eggplant, the texture is Early Espresso, and the sentiment is Basic Black.

One of the great things about digital stamping is that you get to change the size of the images. For this card I knew I wanted the sentiment “True friend” to stand out, but its original size is much smaller than the butterfly. So I increased its size so that it would stand out better. I also used the Textured “stamp” to give the base more character (if I’d been using real Crumb Cake there would be some imperfections that would make it interesting). I suppose you could argue that the texture makes it less Clean and Simple/Graphic, but I think the simplicity of the image and sentiment are true to the CAS style.
