Butterfly Frame

This card was quite a journey. It started as a card for a Splitcoast Stampers challenge where the image was supposed to be “entwined” in some way. The plan was for the butterfly “tails” entwine, but wow did that notwork! But I loved the rest of the card, so I added  a sentiment instead.

Don’t you just love the “frame”? To make it I ran a piece of Wild Wasabi card stock through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips embossing folder, trimmed the outside and then used my hobby blade and a ruler to cut out the middle. Then to get that aged look I sponged Very Vanilla on the raised parts, and spritzed with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

This card is so bright and happy, it is almost making me forget that a winter storm is raging outside!
