Pinspired: Cereal Box Mail Sorter

Like may of us, I’m totally addicted to Pinterest. There is such great inspiration there…from project ideas to beautiful photos, I have whole boards devoted to ideas I want to use in my crafting. The Cereal Box sorter below inspired my most recent Pinspired Project…the Cereal Box Mail Organizer. What I loved about this project is that it re-purposes something we’d throw away – it made me feel “green” and crafty and organized. (more…)

Busy day raking leaves

I spent all morning raking leaves, and it hardly looks like I made a dent. Ugh. The rest of the day I spent crafting. I finished up the Christmas Ornaments I posted about the other day, worked on a project I call ‘advent ornaments’, and made a few of these memo pad holders. I hope to have photos of these in a few days.

Topsy Turvy Birthday Card

I made this card for my friend Jess’s birthday last year. I sketched out a topsy turvy cake and then cut templates out for each layer. I embossed them and added Gold Lame and Illumiate Smooch to the raised areas to add some bling. (more…)

It’s Only Fitting

Well, my plan for NaBloPoMo week 2 was to do color challenges, but I’ve still got a bunch of projects that I’ve never posted, so I’m going to just keep working through them. While I haven’t posted anything “new”, I have been a very busy crafter, working on projects for a craft show I’m doing on Nov. 19th. I’m hoping to start posting pictures of those projects next week.
