Reverse hybrid card
A few weeks ago a coworker sent me an email with a whole bunch of amusing observations. There was one in particular that gave me a chuckle: “I discovered I scream the same way whether I’m about to be devoured by a great white shark or if a piece of seaweed touches my foot.” How true is that? I knew that it should become a card, and I knew just the stamp to use…that crazy fish from Just Beachy. Since my handwriting is terrible, I knew the sentiment would have to be done on the computer. And that crazy fish stamp is pretty tiny, and I wanted it to be large and...

Here’s todays digital Fun and Cute card, which I made for my up-upline Amy: Most of this card contains elements that come with MDS. Some specifics: the polka dot paper is from the Sweet Pea Designer pack. The ribbon is from the Striped Grosgrain pack. The colored “sprinkles” are the brads that come with...

I made a bunch of this card for my friend who just had the baby. She loves handmade cards and I knew she’d love having a set to send out as thank you (I was right!) I also made a coordinating bag to hold the cards: Lots of retired product was used on this gift. The current stuff is the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Scallop Envelope Die and a bunch of...

Me! When I sat down tonight to do a Classy and Elegant Digital card, I started as I always do, from scratch with a clean “canvas”. But as I scrolled through the stamp images, nothing inspired me. So I decided to use one of the Designer Templates that come with My Digital Studio. Here is the template I chose: It is a pretty card and I could have posted it as is, but that felt a bit like cheating because it was SO EASY!. Also, the style of this card is more clean and simple and could use some more embellishment to step it up to the Classy and Elegant realm. So I decided to fiddle...

My final clean and graphic/simple project this week is a super quick and easy Christmas card. This card features paper from the Regals Patterns DSP pack; the A La Carte stamp, Dasher; and silver tinsel trim from the Holiday Mini. Some retired product makes an appearance too…the Wishing You Cheer set and Riding Hood Red ribbon. To add some sparkle to the card, Dasher is stamped on Shimmery White paper, and before stamping I applied some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to the stamp. To finish it off, I added some Gold Lame Smooch to parts of Dasher’s antlers. Starting tomorrow I start...

Today’s Hybrid Clean and Simple card is a sympathy card, based on FTL 103. The color scheme is from the Color Coach: Bravo Bugundy, Baja Breeze, River Rock. I designed the whole card in MDS, separated the Baja Breeze and River Rock layers onto different pages, then printed on my printer. It is hard to see, but the Baja Breeze layer is the Script Background Paper. The River Rock Layer uses the Friends 24-7 stamp set, with the Flourish in Very Vanilla and the sentiment in Basic Black. After printing, I cut down the two layers, then mounted them on Bravo Burgundy cardstock, and tied...
