My first My Digital Studio card!

Posted by on Sep 29, 2009 in Cards | 0 comments

I’m having so much fun with My Digital Studio! It is so easy to make fantastic looking scrapbook pages, cards, calendars, and other keepsakes. And while is it super easy and intuitive, it also has a lot of advanced features for those of us computer nerds. Here is the front of my first card: Super cute, huh? And the fantastic thing about My Digital Studio is that you can do the inside of the card too: That Dusty Durango pattern in the background is on the whole inside of the card. I’m so in love with MDS! You can learn more about My Digital Studio on Stampin’ Up!’s...

Beachy Thank You

One of my co-workers is getting married this weekend, and I made her a bunch of this super cute Thank You card. She’s having a beach wedding, so I thought the flip flops stamp from Just Beachy would be perfect. For the top layers, I used The Tearing Edge to make sure I had control over my ripping. When cutting the paper I added 2/3″ to each dimension to allow room for me to tear off the paper. For the flip-flop image, instead of inking it with one color, I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the sand and flip flops different colors. The color scheme on this card is very...

Quick Birthday Gifts

If you follow my tweets, you’ll know that last weekend I was looking for ideas for a birthday gift for a friend who is a super cool mom/art teacher. I rounded up some ideas, and I ended up making an altered journal, flower photo frame, and a 3×3 card. Being a crafty artistic type, G loved the gifts.  It was a good lesson for me, since I tend to make more elaborate, time consuming things. I had two other projects planned as well, but my Saturday got away from me and I had to keep it simple. Note: these projects used a lot of retired SU! product, Sunshine Day DSP, and Pacific Point...

Shop OnyxStamps

Since I’ve been told repeatedly that I should sell my creations, I’ve launched an online shop at zibbet.com. I’ve also added a “Shop” page to this blog that will have a glimpse of the current products that I have available for sale. The first item I listed is this fantastic Thank You Set that I made for my friend’s daughter birthday. It has 20 Thank You Cards and envelopes (10 each of 2 designs) which are held in a fabulous purse that is customized with an initial. The idea is that the cards could be sent as is, or the images could be colored (my...

Voila Birthday

Posted by on Jul 19, 2009 in Cards | 0 comments

I made this card for my friend’s daughter’s birthday. She and I had been flipping through the new SU! Catalog a few weeks ago, and she loved the Voila set (probably because it reminded her of Ratatouille). So I knew that I’d have to make her card from that set. I used the sketch from the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #74. I used a lot of retired product on this card, because I’ve got to use it sometime, right? Also, the cake totally clashes with the rest of the card, but I wanted it to look like a cake that the birthday girl would have loved, and what 6 year...
