Build-a-House
As promised yesterday, here is how my Build-a-House turned out: This was a fun and fairly easy project to complete. It is covered in retired holiday paper, Chocolate Chip cardstock for the trim, chocolate waffle paper for the roof, and Illuminate Smooch on all the trim to give it a glimmer. I do have some tips on assembling the house: The instructions say to adhere the paper to the chipboard before assembling. My friend’s daughter had her 6th birthday on Saturday, and I made her this fabulous princess mirror as part of her present. I’m not sure she was that excited about it, but her mom and aunt were both ready to steal it from her, and her younger sister spent hours yesterday “cleaning” it with a Barbie tattoo applicator “gun”. I recently made this Welcome Sign from Stampin’ Up!’s new Decor Elements line of vinyl wall art. I was inspired by this example. It was so simple to do. I cut 4 pieces of DSP and glued them together. Then I applied the Decor Element to the glass of the frame – this video shows how easy it is to do! I assembled the whole thing and realized that it needed something extra. So I added two ornaments I made from the On Board Trinkets from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Doesn’t it look great? I can’t wait to update it for the seasons…so easy to do…just change...
