I'm an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Wilmington, Delaware. I've been stampin' under the supervision of my cat Onyx since 2008.
My friend’s daughter Olivia turned 3 last week and this is the card I made for her. I didn’t really have a plan for this card other than using her favorite color, yellow. As it turned out I used a lot of retired Stampin’ Up! product on the card.
Over the holidays I made cute little pointsettias using the 5 petal punch, so I decided to make some flowers for the card the same way. I stamped So Saffron and Perfect Plum card stock with the now retired Posy background stamp. The Pretty Petals or Boho Blooms backgrounds on Pp128-129 of the current catalog would also be great for this! Then I punched out 3 flowers of each color, and glued them together using Tombow Multi. I’ve been waiting for a couple weeks to post this card. I’m part of a Secret Sister Swap and this is the first card that I sent my “little sister”. September’s challenge was to send a card using your school’s colors. I chose my grad school, UNC.
I’ve been an insomniac all Labor Day weekend…staying up until the wee hours wide awake. Last night I decided to give this week’s Splitcoast Stampers Tutorial a whirl. Isn’t it great? It is just a bit shorter than a standard card, so it fits into a Medium Envelope!
I love how the Posy stamp works with the Say it With Scallops Thank You stamp. I now NEED to have the new Scallop Square punch! I cut that out by hand using Paper Snips and the punch would have made it much easier. Three of stamps in the Say It with Scallops set coordinate with that punch, as do two of the stamps in the Punches Three Level 1 Hostess set. (more…)
Welcome to my blog! Here I’m going to focus on my creative endeavors…my inspirations, my successes and my failures. Most posts will be about paper crafts (cards, gifts, scrapbooks, etc) but who knows, if I’m particularly proud of something I’ve photographed or cooked or built…that may show up too.
